Change AutoShape in MS Office

By Laura Noble

Once an AutoShape has been added and formatted the shape can be changed with a couple of clicks of the mouse without losing the formatting. So do NOT delete and start from scratch - instead change it!

bullet A shape is classified as an "AutoShape" when added using one of the following icons on the Drawing Toolbar: AutoShapes, Line, Arrow, Rectangle, Oval or Text Box.

bullet After an AutoShape has been added and formatted, it can be quickly changed to a different AutoShape. First select the shape and then from the Drawing Toolbar click Draw, Change AutoShape and select a new shape from the menu options.
