Keyboard Alternative in Excel

Clicking the AutoSum
icon in a blank cell below or to the right of a column or row of
numbers will insert a sum function. In sample below the
formula =Sum(D3:D9) would be
inserted in the active cell.

An alternative to using the icon is pressing
Alt + = (equals) in the blank
cell and then pressing Enter key to accept
the formula. |

Using the AutoSum
icon or the Alt + = shortcut
provide the same results, but for those that like to keep their
fingers on the keyboard Alt + =
is very handy. |
